Delete your account and data
How to ask us to erase your BuilderSiteNow account, exactly what gets deleted, and the few records Indian law requires us to keep.

Who can request deletion
BuilderSiteNow is a business application. Accounts are created by your firm’s administrator, not by self sign-up, so there are two different kinds of deletion request:
- An individual user account — an employee, site engineer or supervisor who wants their own login and personal details removed.
- An entire company workspace — the builder firm ending its use of BuilderSiteNow and asking for the whole tenant, including all project data, to be erased.
A workspace-level deletion can only be requested by the registered account owner, because it destroys records belonging to the whole firm.
How to request deletion
- 1Email us from your registered addressSend a request to privacy@buildersitenow.com from the email address linked to your BuilderSiteNow login. Using the registered address is how we verify the request is genuinely yours.
- 2Tell us the scopeState whether you want only your own user account deleted, or the entire company workspace. Include your company name so we can locate the correct tenant.
- 3We verify and confirmWe confirm your identity and, for workspace deletions, confirm with the registered account owner. You will receive written confirmation before anything is erased.
- 4Deletion is carried outYour data is deleted within 30 days of a verified request. Encrypted backups age out on their own rolling cycle within 90 days.
You can also ask your own company administrator to deactivate your user account from within the app. That removes your access immediately, but a full erasure of personal data still needs the email request above.
What gets deleted
On a verified request we permanently delete the following:

| Diagnostics and crash logs | Deleted — crash reports linked to your account are purged |
| Project, lead and site records | Deleted with the workspace, or reassigned to your firm if only your user account is removed |
What we are required to retain
Some records cannot be erased on request because Indian law requires us — or requires your firm — to keep them. We keep only these records, and only for the periods below:

Retained records are kept in restricted storage, are not used for any other purpose, and are deleted once the statutory period expires. Everything outside this list is erased.
Export your data first
Deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed. Before you request it, export anything you need — BuilderSiteNow lets you export your leads, sites, ledger and payroll records, and download your invoices and reports as PDF.
If you would like a complete copy of your workspace data before deletion, ask for it in the same email and we will provide it alongside the confirmation.
Your rights
This process reflects your rights under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, including the right to erasure and the right to correction. For the full picture of what we collect and why, see our Privacy Policy, and how we secure it.
We respond to every request within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.

How long does deletion take?
Within 30 days of a verified request. Encrypted backups roll off on their own cycle within 90 days.
Can I delete my account from inside the app?
Not directly. BuilderSiteNow accounts belong to a company workspace, so removing one affects your firm’s records. Your administrator can deactivate your access immediately, and a full erasure is handled through the email request described above.
What if my employer refuses to delete my data?
For the data your employer entered about you, your firm is the data fiduciary and we act on its instructions. You can still write to us at privacy@buildersitenow.com and we will pass on the request and advise on your options under the DPDP Act 2023.
Is deletion reversible?
No. Once erased, data cannot be recovered. Export anything you need beforehand.
