Permanent staff and temporary labour, modelled differently
A salaried site engineer and a daily-wage mason are not the same thing, and a system that pretends they are produces wrong numbers. Permanent staff are paid through payroll; temporary labour is costed through the muster at a day rate.
Work history that is actually history
Assignment, attendance and payroll are three separate sources and stay separate. The site someone is currently assigned to is never treated as a record of where they have worked — the history comes from attendance, which is the only source that knows.

Questions builders ask
Does it handle both permanent staff and daily-wage labour?
Yes, and deliberately as two different things. Permanent staff run through monthly payroll; temporary labour is costed per day from the muster, including overtime, holiday rates and allowances.
Can I see everywhere an employee has worked?
Yes, derived from attendance rather than from their current assignment — because the site someone is assigned to today says nothing about the four projects they worked on last year.
