What's inside

Everything the estimating & boq module ships with.

Your own rate book

Materials, labour and work-item rates in one place — seeded with starter rates you can edit — so estimates are never re-typed.

BOQ with live totals

Add line items in sections and watch cost subtotal, margin and grand total update live. Per-sq-ft or full bill of quantities, your choice.

Branded GST quotation

Generate a professional quotation PDF on your letterhead with GST and a payment schedule, ready to send.

Reusable templates

Save your spec as a template (G+1, villa, fit-out) and reuse it — adjust only the area and quantities next time.

Margin stays internal

The client sees the price; your cost and margin stay private to you.

Win it, convert to a site

When the client accepts, the total becomes the project budget and the schedule becomes the client payment plan.

Where it earns its keep

What this looks like on a real site.

01

Every quote starts from last year's Excel file

Copying an old estimate and editing it forward is how stale rates end up in live quotes — cement priced at what it cost eighteen months ago, on a job you then have to build at today's rate. A maintained rate book for materials, labour and work items means each new estimate prices from current numbers. Update a rate once and the next quote is right.

02

You quoted a G+1 and the client wants a villa next month

Save the spec as a reusable template — G+1, villa, fit-out, whatever you build repeatedly — and the next estimate starts from a structure you have already thought through. Adjust the area and the quantities rather than rebuilding a bill of quantities from a blank sheet. Line items sit in sections with cost subtotal, margin and grand total updating live as you work.

03

The client sees a number they were never meant to see

Your cost and your margin stay internal; the quotation shows the price. What goes out is a professional GST quotation on your letterhead with a payment schedule the client can follow. When they accept, the total becomes the project budget and the schedule becomes the client payment plan — the estimate turns into a live site rather than being retyped into one.

Common questions

Estimating & BOQ, answered.

Do I have to build my rate book from scratch?

No. You start with a set of editable starter rates for common materials, labour and work items and adjust them to your market — rates in Coimbatore are not rates in Gurgaon. Most builders spend an afternoon on it once and then maintain it as prices move.

Can I quote per square foot instead of a full BOQ?

Yes — that is what the packages module is for, and both live in the same system. Use a per-sq-ft package for a fast turnkey quote and a detailed bill of quantities when the client wants line-by-line justification. Many builders send the package quote first and the BOQ when they get serious.

What does the client actually receive?

A branded quotation PDF on your letterhead with GST applied and a stage-wise payment schedule. It reads like a document your firm produced, not a system export — which matters more than builders expect when a homeowner is comparing three quotes on a kitchen table.

What happens when we win the job?

Convert the accepted estimate into a live site in one action. The estimate total becomes the project budget and the payment schedule becomes the stage plan, so budget-versus-actual tracking starts from the number you actually quoted rather than a figure someone re-keyed.
